Hybrid Workshop – Attend in Person or Online
The 5th edition of the International Workshop on Accounting and Taxation (IWAT2026) will take place on April 24, 2026, at ISAG – European Business School, in collaboration with the Center for Research in Business Sciences and Tourism (CICET-FCVC).
After the success of IWAT2025, where selected full articles were published as book chapters by IGI Global (indexed in Scopus), IWAT2026 consolidates itself as a scientific platform of reference, promoting the exchange of knowledge, critical debate and innovation in the areas of accounting and taxation.
Why Participate in IWAT2026?
This edition will address current and strategic topics, such as:
- Cybersecurity and data protection in accounting
- Digital taxation and new regulatory challenges
- Sustainability and cultural impact on business practices
- Digital enablement and innovative financial solutions
The IWAT2026 offers a hybrid format, allowing participants to join in person in Porto or remotely. Papers can be submitted in Portuguese, Spanish or English, in three modalities:
- Full Article / Full Paper (up to 10 pages)
- Short Paper (6-7 pages)
- Extended Abstract (1–3 pages)
All papers will be evaluated by double-blind peer-review, ensuring high scientific standards. The abstracts of accepted papers will be published in the Book of Abstracts, made available to all participants.
Publication Opportunities
- The best full papers in English, once accepted and registered, will be invited for submission to indexed international journals in the areas of accounting and taxation, after a rigorous peer review process.
- A selection of the best full papers in English, accepted and registered, will also be invited to be part of chapters of a book to be published by IGI Global (indexed in Scopus)! All articles will undergo peer review, and the publication will be subject to evaluation by the reviewers and the editorial board of the book.
